Buggy Whipp was officially formed in October of 2003, a 3 generation family band, which consist of Vivian, Teresa & Korrina. Now in 2008, we have 2 more in our group, Brian & Katelyn. We play a variety of music.... Traditional Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. Vivian Catherson has composed many original songs for the band. Buggy Whipp has performed at the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association (MBOTMA) Winter Bluegrass Weekend in 2005-2008, the MBOTMA Summer Bluegrass Festivals in 2005-2007. In August 2004 Buggy Whipp won 1st place in the open division at the Kanabec County Fair and then received 2nd place on their night at the state fair level. They have also performed for The State of MN Sesquicentennial Celebration & many community functions including: East Bethel Booster Days, Pancake Breakfasts, several area gospel festivals and others too numerous to mention.

Vivian Catherson (A.K.A. Grandma Buggy Whipp) has been playing the banjo for 5 years, she also plays guitar, sings & writes songs for the band. She resides in Andover, Minnesota.

Teresa Olson, AKA Vivian's Daughter, and Korrina’s mother, is the band manager and Master of Ceremonies. She has been playing upright bass for 5 years. She also plays guitar and vocalizes including much of the harmony for the group. She resides in Ramsey, Minnesota

Korrina Olson (A.K.A. Teresa's Daughter), she is 19 3/4 years old & is the lead singer. She plays the mandolin, guitar and the upright bass. Korrina's voice has often been compared to that of Patsy Cline. She resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Katelyn Ek is our newest member of Buggy Whipp she has been with us since Dec. of 2007. Katelyn is 14 years old and has been playing fiddle for a little over 2 1/2 years, she is now learning to sing & do harmony for us. She resides in Ramsey, Minnesota.

Brian Catherson, AKA: Vivian’s son, Teresa’s brother, and Korrina’s uncle, recently rejoined Buggy Whipp after a 3 year hiatus. He plays rhythm guitar, and resides near Cambridge, MN with his wife and two of his three children.
